 Randall J. Heckenkemper

Randy Heckenkemper began his career in golf course architecture in the 1980s
and has since designed and remodeled more than 40 golf courses across the United States.

Born in 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma
and a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape design,
Mr. Heckenkemper began his career working under Poe and Associates Planning, Inc.
as the senior land planner of Jack Nicklaus and Associates,
a joint venture between Poe and Nicklaus.

In 1983, recognizing an opportunity for expansion,
Mr. Heckenkemper joined the partnership of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish,
coordinating the design and construction of several nationally recognized golf courses.
After having gained experience in zoning, master and site planning, and golf course design and construction,
he ventured out on his own in 1985 and started Heckenkemper Golf Course Design.

Many of his courses have received honors for the quality of their design.
Golf Digest has honored Forest Ridge Golf Club and Chickasaw Pointe in Oklahoma
along with Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club in Arkansas
all as top 10 courses in their respective states.
